Back on using nTopology
After a break in 2022, we are back on using nTopology to answer our customer needs for designing complex heat exchangers. Especially nTop allows us designing gyroid heat exchangers very quickly and generate a workflow between the CAD generation and FEA/CFD softwares .
Especially nTop is definitly the more efficient software to design advanced TPMS heat exchanger in interaction with FEA/CFD software
We invest in ANSYS Mechanical
Mechanical constraints like fatigue or creep are keys parameters for heat exchangers life cycle. To grow up the TRL of our technologies we decide to invest in ANSYS Mechanical with the support of CADFEM France.
DESOLINATION: the first mock-up has been printed
H2020 DESOLINATION projects has restarted last April. After a phase of simulation and design of supercritical CO2 and molten salt we launched the manufacturing of the heat exchanger core. This first mock-up aims to answer technical questions such as removing powder, assembly and design validation.
Next step, the mock-up will be tested on a sCO2 loop for validation.
A second mock-up design is in progress. Its goal is to reduce the size of the part by increasing its performances
FSW Cold plate: first serie of 200 parts for a space application
One year ago, TEAM Henri-Fabre supported us on investing in a FSW platform with StirWeld technology. This platform is our first production facility on which we mainly produce cold plates. Last month, we delivered to a space major company 200 parts qualified with space standards
Experimental test loop: aero-oil available
Our test loops for heat exchangers has been upgraded these last months. We are now able to test heat exchangers with Jet Mobile 1 up to 85°C.
Upcoming events
In November, we will attend GRETh technical days in Aix-les-bains on 15th and 16th. These days are gathering key French actors in the field of heat exchangers. It will the occasion for us to expose on a roll-up our FSW solutions for cold plates.
Between 28th and 30th of November, we will exhibit our last developments at Enlit Europe 2023. Enlit event is a journey to #Connect industries, #Inspire action and help Europe #Evolve into one decarbonised and digitalized energy system for the energy transition. We will share a booth with DESOLINATION consortium partners.
